Ever wonder what happen on that wacky seven hour investigation? Jason and Grant do the reveal on this episode along with pick the winner of the Great American Ghost Hunt
Welcome back, chitlins. I am here still trying to get through this Halloween candy. Even in my altered state I am here to bring you the very best. I am really trying to pad this thing out to get past the ad so I can post the picture, but I
Really
Have
Nothing
Much
To
Say
Except for are you ready for….
And we're on our way.
They're going to recap The Fort Delaware investigation and they show Steve jumping back like something happened, but guess what? I watched the whole thing and nothing happened to Steve. If I need to tell you what he is jumping from, then this is your first time reading this column. The Great American Ghost Hunt finals, then TAPS does a whole new investigation.
They go right away into the recap of the LIVE Halloween show. I'm not going to re-recap this thing. I spent my whole weekend recapping it. If you want to know what happened go here, here and here.
I will take this opportunity to answer some questions that came up in the comments for the LIVE recap.
1. Where's Kris? Personal issues, though I heard a rumor that her contract was up or something, but I don't know how much I would put into that.
2. Where's Barry? On Ghost Hunters International.
3. Could all the camera issues be some sort of interference with ghost energy? It's possible. I even had that thought myself. However, that would not explain the bad sound quality, the constantly missed cues or playing the wrong promos. As this has never happened before in four years (to our knowledge) to Pilgrim Films cameras, we have to assume that is not the case.
4. Where is Brian? Brian quit GHI halfway through the season to be with his family. He has supposedly quit the commercial paranormal business all together. I've not seen his name pop up in association with anything as of yet, but then again, I'm not really trying that hard to find it either.
5. Who's the new girl on GHI? I have no clue. I noticed her when you did. I will attempt to beat information out of Robb by plucking his beard hairs out one at a time with a rusty fishhook until he gives me a name and paranormal background. That's all we want.
6. I don't really know Amy except from the one episode, but I have no problem with her stepping in for Kris, should Kris need replacing. The only thing she lives in California while the rest of them live out East.
7. Is it over? Yes, it is over. Yes, I did recap if for you so that you could have the pleasure of sleeping through most of it while I do the grunt work. Do you even appreciate it? Do you take me out? Do you talk good about me to the other guys at work?
8. It was just you, because Robb is ready to snap and kill everyone at the drop of a dime - or on my command. Well, everyone except for Joe Chin because - well, he's Joe Chin. No explanation needed.
9. That is a good observation; there was no pimping of Roto Rooter.
10. Homewrecker! - if you get any good stuff from your ghost hunt, you need to email it to me.
Back to out regularly schedule program….
THE ANALYSIS
They got just Steve and Tango on this? Joe Chin couldn't help out? The Miz couldn't help out? They got some noise anomalies and I'm wondering if this segment is legit or set up.
THE FINDINGS
Damnit! I thought they did away with this. When Kristen got "grabbed" late in the episode, Grant summarizes that it was probably just her battery pack hitting the corner of the door. Why Steve couldn't figure that out on his own is beyond me. HA! Steve calls The Miz, "Mike." They show all the Grant jacket pulls. Fine. I'm okay with that and all, but do NOT say the temperature changed when it happened. It did not. Once again, the outer edge of the hood is blue. When it is pulled down, it exposed the inner part of the hood (the part closes to Grant's body, thus Grant's body heat) which is a yellow-green - the exact same color as the entire back of Grant's jacket. Unless the ghost is the exact same temperature of a jacket lying against Grant's body heat, it is not a temperature change. It kind of pissed me off that they are still sticking to that story. Now the best case scenario is that these guys can't tell the difference of a spectral temperature anomaly and jacket that is being warmed by body heat. Hmmm…they didn't mention the disembodied voice at all. And even though I didn't mention it, it was in the recap they showed.
THE REVEAL
It's Jason, Grant and History Lee. First, they play the kind of EVP above Kristyn, Joe and The Miz. History Lee is more than quick to agree. Okay, here's the disembodied voice. It still sounds fake, but I wasn't there, so I can't say. Even History Lee wasn't as excited about the disembodied voice as it should have been. Now the jacket tugs. Grant denies any wiring theory by saying his mike was going down his sweater and the jacket is being tugged out and not in, which may be the case.
Status: Still Haunted.
Time to announce the winner of the Great American Ghost Hunt. I'm betting the winner is the third one. Was that the Estate that's a restaurant? I think it is. You know the second one is out because TAPS would rather stay in New York as opposed to Colorado. I'm thinking that this was filmed on Halloween. Jason says they will probably investigate all three of them, but they'll start off with the winner. I had a feeling that they might end up investigating all three because well, why not? If they had all just called the show separately, they would get investigated right? A ghost hunter wouldn't turn down a haunted location because it didn't win a contest. The winner is the 1000 island place. Grant spins it as it's a private residence, so it takes priority. That's fine. I'm glad they're planning on investigating all three places.
